Holes in Heaven: Clip— Defense Technologies Using HAARP
Running Time: 5 Minutes

This clip from the documentary “Holes in Heaven” explains potential defensive capabilities of HAARP-type ionospheric installations, such as being used as an emergency communication system in the event of a nuclear attack, being able to knock out satellites in space, and being able to deflect missiles that are launched into the atmosphere.

Following are points made in the clip:

— It is explained that GWEN stands for “Ground Wave Emergency Network,” which would be an emergency system for worldwide communication if the ionosphere of the Earth would fail due to a massive nuclear attack.

— Dr. Nick Begich, co-author of “Angels Don’t Play This HAARP” explains that the electromagnetic weapons technologies are changing so dramatically that it is the equivalent of the introduction of gunpowder in the American West or the introduction of the atomic age in the 20th century.

— Rich Garcia, Director of Public Relations for HAARP, explains that the US Air Force Phillips Laboratory is the Air Force’s primary laboratory for doing space research, involving technologies such as HAARP for studying the ionosphere.  He explains that weapons exist such as space-based plasma projectiles, as well as a large capacitor bank called “SHIVA” that stores a tremendous amount of energy and then releases it in a very short period of time which makes a potentially very powerful weapon.

— Electromagnetic warfare can be used in coordination with ionospheric warfare.  Plasma physicist Dr. Bernard Eastlund explains that when he left the program in 1987, a contract had been awarded for ionospheric warfare studies, although the project manager for HAARP John Heckscher is shown denying that HAARP is involved with it, and he even claims that he doesn’t even know what the term means.  Also Eastlund and Garcia later deny that HAARP is being used as a weapon.

— HAARP uses the ionosphere as an amplifier and as a broadcast medium where the signal is not only reflected, but also amplified where it becomes hundreds of thousands of times more intense than it would be otherwise, and the signal is broadcast over a large area of the Earth.

— Begich explains that HAARP is a ground based “Star Wars” weapons technology.

— An environmental activist David Harrison explains that the people in the area had not been aware of the implications of HAARP while it was being contstructed.  He says that HAARP is being used as “Star Wars”-type technology, but Congress has cut funding for “Star Wars” [or SDI] so they call it anything but those names to get it funded.

— In the application for the 1991 patent, it mentioned that if anyone fired a missile from anywhere on the Earth, the missile would intersect the relativistic layer and could be destroyed by the use of the HAARP facility.

— Dr. Eastlund explains that as a scientist he likes to be recognized for the things he has done, but only people associated with HAARP know the full extent of his contributions because of confidentially agreements, however he explains that if you read the patents, it showns that he was thinking about using it defensively as an anti-satellite device that could be used for offense or defense.

— The biophysicist Dr. Beverly Rubik explains that “electromagnetic warfare” is the wave of the future.
